2010 Demonstration Tying

This page will be the primary method of updating the demonstration tiers for the 2010 Fly Fishing Fair (formerly called the "Conclave") in West Yellowstone, August 24-28, 2010, at the Holiday Inn. Check back to learn more about the Fly Fair Fair schedule, the tying schedule, the Fly Tying Group Board meeting (open to all Fly Tying Group members) on Wednesday 9 am at the Holiday Inn, the Demonstration Tier's Workshop on Wednesday morning 8 am, and the Tiers' and Liar's BBQ, Wednesday afternoon.

Demonstration Tier's Workshop

A workshop will be held on Wedneday, from 8-9, for all demonstration tiers. It will be a roundtable discussion, featuring several Buszek winners and members of the Fly Tying Board of Governors, who will share their thoughts on what makes a superior demo tier. The purpose of the workshop is to help all demonstration tiers understand and develop the skills they need to effectively communicate with their audience. Tiers' and Liars' Barbeque

There will be an outdoor barbeque just for the tiers and their spouses at 12:00 noon, following the Workshop. The cost is $20 per person (bring several of your favorite flies and you will qualify for a $5 discount) and covers BBQ chicken & BBQ beef sandwiches, and soda; beer will be cash bar. Also, your nametag will have a cork on it for you to mount a fly, so bring an extra of your pride and joy for your nametag. Bring a few more for trading. Click here for more information.
