Wild grape grows in the Fern Creek canyon, usually quite close to water but not in it. The bases can sometimes be about 5 inches in diameter, with the grape growing far up into the canopy. The above specimen was photographed August 26, 2006, along Fern Creek on the way to the Ski Jump.
